Snow - some people love it, some people hate it. For our delivery drivers it's a big inconvenience that makes their job WAY harder. A fuel hose is heavy and hauling it from truck to fill pipe is tough. But imagine having to do that while wading through feet of snow!

Our drivers depend on being able to safely access propane gas tanks for maintenance and refills. This not only makes things safer for our drivers, but it helps our deliveries go more quickly so that we can get to everyone faster.
Clearing snow is also something you should do for your own safety in order to keep snow off the tank or fill-pipe and away from any vents. A blocked vent can cause a back-up of carbon monoxide in your home.

Please keep these snow removal tips in mind:
Be aware of your tank’s location when using a snow thrower or plow - We recommend you attach a brightly-colored flag to the top of your propane tank so it can be found easily even in deep snow
Never shovel snow against or on top of your tank or a vent - Use a broom or your hands to remove snow and ice from the tank rather than a shovel, salt or ice-melting chemical
Never kick your tank to break up snow and ice
Protect your tank from melting ice dripping from overhead
If you're out of town and you know you're due for a delivery, please make arrangements to have the path shoveled.
